Dear Team,
We were just notified and, quite honestly, shocked to learn that our current contract with the New York VA Medical Center will not be renewed. This news came unexpectedly, and we understand how disappointing and disruptive this may be for you.
We want to take a moment to thank each of you for your dedication and professionalism while serving at the New York VA. Your contributions have been truly appreciated by both our team and the VA.
We’ve been informed that the non-renewal is due to internal budgeting constraints at the VISN level. As a result, your assignment will officially conclude on April 30th, 2025.
Please know that this decision is in no way a reflection of your performance. In fact, both our team at One Stop and Kim Byrd from the VA worked diligently to explore every possible option to extend the contract. Unfortunately, this outcome was based entirely on funding limitations.
At this time, we do not have other open opportunities in New York, but we are actively working to secure new contracts in the region. There is potential for a new long-term multi-year contract at the NY VA in the next fiscal year once the budget issues are resolved, and we will keep you informed of any updates.
Again, we are deeply grateful for your hard work and commitment. If you need assistance during this transition, please feel free to reach out.
